This painting is another that derived it’s structure from broad color moves at the outset. Into that I worked images drawn from my night drawing sessions at the Met, which is open late on Fridays and Saturdays, making it a date night destination with young people dressed to the wandering among the statuary in the Greco-Roman section and standing in front of paintings as if they are walking into them.
